How does the win pace calculator work?

PaceToWin calculates projected season wins by analyzing your team's current win percentage and extrapolating it across the full season schedule. Records come from ESPN; playoff odds come from our own MLB model, ESPN's FPI (NFL) and BPI (NBA), and MoneyPuck (NHL). See pacetowin.com/methodology.

Which sports leagues are supported?

PaceToWin supports all major North American sports leagues: NFL (17 games), NBA (82 games), MLB (162 games), and NHL (82 games). We also offer a custom mode for other leagues.

Is the data updated in real-time?

Records refresh from ESPN about once a minute during a season, and every number shows the time of its own source. If a source is down we show the last copy that passed our checks, marked as delayed, for a limited time. Details are at pacetowin.com/methodology.
